അയോദ്ധ്യയിലെ ശ്രീരാമ ജന്മഭൂമിയുടെയും ഭക്തജനങ്ങളുടെയും വികാരം വോട്ടാക്കി മാറ്റി കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ അധികാരം പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത പാർട്ടിയാണ് ബിജെപി. വിശ്വാസികളുടെ വോട്ടുകൾ വാങ്ങി ഉന്നതങ്ങളിൽ എത്തിയവർ കേരളം പോലൊരു സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഭക്തരെ കബളിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കളികളാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ കളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. രാജീവ് ചന്ദ്രശേഖറിനെപ്പോലെ വലിയ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവരുമെന്ന് കരുതിയ നേതാക്കൾ തലപ്പത്ത് വന്നപ്പോൾ കേരളത്തിലെ ഹൈന്ദവ സമൂഹം വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷയിലായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ആ പ്രതീക്ഷകളെല്ലാം വെറും ജലരേഖയാകുന്ന കാഴ്ചയാണ് ഇന്ന് നാം കാണുന്നത്.

മന്ത്രിമാരെ സഹായിക്കുന്ന വോട്ട് കൈമാറ്റം

ശബരിമല വിഷയത്തിൽ ഭക്തരെ വേട്ടയാടിയ ദേവസ്വം മന്ത്രിക്കും സ്ഥലം എംഎൽഎയ്ക്കും വിജയിക്കാൻ സൗകര്യമൊരുക്കുന്ന വിചിത്രമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയമാണ് ബിജെപി പയറ്റുന്നത്. മന്ത്രി വാസവന് ഏറ്റുമാനൂരിൽ വിജയിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി ബിജെപി വോട്ടുകൾ അങ്ങോട്ട് ഒഴുക്കുന്നു. പകരമായി തലസ്ഥാനത്തെ സുരക്ഷിത മണ്ഡലങ്ങളിൽ ഭരണപക്ഷം അയഞ്ഞ നിലപാട് സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നു. ഒന്ന് ചീയുമ്പോൾ മറ്റൊന്നിന് വളമാകുന്ന ഈ പരസ്പര സഹായ സഹകരണം കേരളത്തിലെ സാധാരണക്കാരായ വിശ്വാസികൾ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു കഴിഞ്ഞു.

Having secured the votes of the faithful to reach these heights, they are now playing games that deceive the very same devotees in a state like Kerala. When a leader like Rajeev Chandrasekhar took the helm, the Hindu community in Kerala expected a radical and principled shift. However, those expectations have turned into a mirage as the party stoops to "adjustment politics" for survival.

The Guruvayur Rhetoric vs. the Ranni Reality

Rajeev Chandrasekhar recently made headlines with his aggressive stance that a non-Hindu MLA should not represent the constituency where the holy Guruvayur Temple is located. He went as far as dragging Mecca and the Vatican into the debate, asking if a Hindu would ever be allowed to hold administrative leadership in those holy cities. While he sings these tunes of "protection of faith" in Guruvayur, why did he approve a Pentecostal Christian as the NDA candidate in Ranni—the very heartland of the sacred Sabarimala?

The Hypocrisy in Candidate Selection

For a party that claims to be the sole protector of Hindu traditions, placing a candidate from a different proselytizing faith in a constituency centered around the Sabarimala pilgrimage is a blatant act of betrayal. If the logic is that Guruvayur needs a Hindu representative, does the same logic not apply to the sacred soil of Lord Ayyappa? This glaring contradiction exposes that Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s rhetoric is merely a tool to incite emotion, while his actions are dictated by cold, political opportunism that ignores the sanctity of the temple.

It is becoming an open secret in Kerala that the BJP and CPIM are engaged in a mutual "vote-trading" pact. To secure a win in prestigious seats like Nemom, Vattiyoorkavu, or Kazhakkootam, the BJP leadership is allegedly diverting its core votes to the CPIM in Ranni, Konni, and Ettumanoor. This "deal" effectively protects the very administration and ministers who were responsible for the atrocities against Sabarimala devotees and the looting of temple wealth.

Sacrificing Devotees for Ministerial Seats

The political "quid pro quo" is devastating for the faithful. In Ettumanoor, the BJP appears to be softening its stance to ensure the victory of Minister Vasavan, who has been a key figure in the current administration’s controversial handling of Devaswom affairs. In exchange, the ruling front provides a "walkover" or a weakened challenge in the capital's urban seats. This symbiotic relationship—where one party’s decay becomes the other’s fertilizer—is a massacre of the trust placed in the BJP by the Ayyappa devotees.

An Eye-Opener for the Leadership

Rajeev Chandrasekhar must realize that the people of Kerala are no longer blind to these double standards. You cannot use Sabarimala as a campaign slogan while simultaneously striking deals with those who oppressed the devotees. Using holy lands as bargaining chips in a political casino has eroded the BJP's credibility entirely. If the leadership continues to play these double games, the devotees will ensure that the party pays a heavy price at the ballot box. It is time to stop the deception and stand sincerely with the faith you claim to protect.
