നമ്മൾ നിരവധി തവണ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ തന്നെ 102 സീറ്റുകളിൽ യുഡിഎഫ് തിളക്കമാർന്ന വിജയം കൈവരിച്ചുവെങ്കിലും ഒന്നുകൂടി നല്ല സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥി നിർണ്ണയം നടത്തിയിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ 112 ആകുവാൻ എളുപ്പമായിരുന്നു . ഈ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പ്രത്യേകത ജയിക്കേണ്ടവർ ജയിച്ചു തോൽക്കേണ്ടവർ തോറ്റു . മലയാളിയെ അങ്ങനെയൊന്നും എല്ലാക്കാലവും പറ്റിക്കുവാനാവില്ല എന്ന ഒരു മെസേജ് ഈ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ പ്രതിഫലിച്ചു . ജനം വോട്ട് ചെയ്യുവാൻ തയ്യാറായിരുന്നു . പക്ഷെ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയെ നോക്കി മാത്രമായിരുന്നു അവരുടെ വോട്ടുകൾ അവർ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത് . ആരെയെങ്കിലുമൊക്കെ പാർട്ടി ചിഹ്നത്തിൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചാൽ ജയിക്കുമെന്ന വ്യാമോഹം എല്ലാം എല്ലാ രാഷ്ട്രീയനേതാക്കളും ഇതോടെ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കണം എന്നുള്ള വ്യക്തമായ കാഴ്ചപ്പാട് .
പയ്യന്നൂരിലെ മിന്നുന്ന താരം: വി. കുഞ്ഞികൃഷ്ണന്റെ ഐതിഹാസിക വിജയം
ഈ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ ഏറ്റവും നല്ല വിജയം പയ്യന്നൂരിലെ പഴശ്ശിരാജ വി കുഞ്ഞികൃഷ്ണേട്ടന്റെതാണ് . 'മിന്നുന്ന വിജയം' , 'ഞെട്ടുന്ന വിജയം' എന്നൊക്കെയുള്ള സ്ഥിരം വാക്കുകൾക്ക് ഉപരിയായി ഒരു വാക്ക് കുഞ്ഞികൃഷ്ണേട്ടനായി നാം കണ്ടെത്തേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു . ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഒറ്റയാൾ പോരാട്ടം നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് പയ്യന്നൂർ പോലുള്ള പാർട്ടി ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ കൂട്ടിന് ആൾബലമില്ലാതെ വളരെ സൗമ്യനായി ജനങ്ങളെ സമീപിച്ചപ്പോൾ ആ ജനം രണ്ടും കയ്യും നീട്ടി സ്വീകരിച്ചത് കേരളത്തിലെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ നേതാക്കൾക്കുള്ള ശക്തമായ താക്കീതായിരുന്നു . രക്തസാക്ഷി ഫണ്ട് വിഷയം അവതപ്പിച്ച നാൾ മുതൽ ആ പാവം മനുഷ്യനെ സിപിഎം ഗുണ്ടകൾ വളഞ്ഞിട്ട് ആക്രമിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു . കൂടെയുണ്ടായ ആളിന്റെ ബൈക്ക് കത്തിച്ചതും ഭീഷണികളും ജനം ഓർമ്മിച്ചുവെച്ചു . ഇനി കുഞ്ഞികൃഷ്ണൻ എംഎൽഎ വാഹനത്തിൽ അങ്ങോട്ട് ചെല്ലുമ്പോൾ ഫണ്ട് മുക്കിയവനും നക്കിയവനും പാർട്ടി ഓഫീസിൽ ഇരുന്ന് കട്ടൻ ചായയും പരിപ്പുവടയും അടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഭാവി കുനുഷ്ടുകൾ ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്യുകയായിരിക്കും .
മണലൂരിലെ പതനം: ടി.എൻ. പ്രതാപന് ഏറ്റ തിരിച്ചടി
അതുപോലെ ഈ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലെ ഏറ്റവും മനോഹരമായ തോൽവി മണലൂരിന്റെ ടി എൻ പ്രതാപന്റേതാണ് . മുഖംമൂടി മാത്രം മുഖമുദ്രയായ ഒരു നേതാവിന്റെ അങ്ങേയറ്റത്തെ പതനമാണ് മണലൂരിൽ കണ്ടത് . കേരളം ഒന്നടങ്കം യുഡിഎഫ് കാറ്റ് വീശിയപ്പോഴും മണലൂർ പോലുള്ള യുഡിഎഫ് മണ്ഡലത്തിൽ ഒരു സാധാരണക്കാരനായ വ്യക്തിയോട് തോൽക്കേണ്ടി വന്നത് പ്രതാപനെ പോലെ ജയിക്കുവാനറിയുന്ന ആളിന്റെ കളികൾക്കുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശിക്ഷയാണ് . വെറും 126 വോട്ടുകൾക്ക് പ്രതാപൻ കെട്ട് കെട്ടിയപ്പോൾ ഒരു അയ്യപ്പന്റെ മകൻ മറ്റൊരു പ്രതാപൻ 184 വോട്ട് പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പ്രതാപന്റെ രാഷ്ട്രീയഗുരുവായ സുധീരന് ആലപ്പുഴയിൽ സംഭവിച്ച അതേ അപര ദുരന്തം സംഭവിച്ചു . പ്രതാപൻ ജയിച്ചിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ മന്ത്രിസഭയിൽ അംഗമാകുമായിരുന്നു . കൂടാതെ പ്രതാപനെ കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഗ്രൂപ്പ് കളി ശല്യം അങ്ങേയറ്റം പാർട്ടിക്ക് ദോഷം ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു . എന്തായാലും ജനങ്ങൾ നല്ല തീരുമാനമെടുത്തു . ഒപ്പം അപരന് നന്ദിയും . ആക്രാന്തരാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിനേറ്റ ഒരു കനത്ത തിരിച്ചടികൂടിയാണ് പ്രതാപന്റെത് .
കൽപ്പറ്റയിലെ കരുത്ത്: ടി. സിദ്ദിഖിന്റെ ജനകീയ വിജയം
അടുത്ത ഏറ്റവും മിന്നും ജയം കൽപ്പറ്റയിലെ ടി സിദ്ധിഖിന്റേതാണ് . കഴിഞ്ഞ തവണത്തെ 5470 ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തിൽ നിന്നും 45031 വോട്ടുകൾ നേടി ജയിച്ചപ്പോൾ അതിൽ 25000 വോട്ടുകൾ നൽകിയത് സിപിഎം കാർ തന്നെയാണ് . അന്ന് ആ പൊതുപരിപാടിയിൽ പാർട്ടി സിപിഎം സെക്രട്ടറിയുടെ ആഹ്വനപ്രകാരം സിദ്ധിക്കിനെ കൂവി വിളിച്ചപ്പോൾ തന്നെ സിദ്ധിഖ് ഒരു രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാരൻ മാത്രമല്ല . നല്ല ഒരു അദ്ധ്വാനി കൂടിയാണ് . അന്നത്തെ പ്രളയത്തിൽ സിദ്ധിഖ് ആദ്യനാൾ മുതൽ കയ്യും മെയ്യും മറന്നുകൊണ്ട് അവിടെ നിറസാന്നിദ്ധ്യമായിരുന്നു . വീട് നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടവർക്കും കച്ചവടങ്ങൾ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടവർക്കും ഒരു കൈത്താങ്ങായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ച സിദ്ധിഖ് ജനങ്ങളിൽ ഇറങ്ങി ചെന്നിരുന്നു . ലോക്സഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പുകൾ വരുമ്പോൾ അണികൾക്കിടയിൽ നിന്ന് കൊണ്ട് മുദ്രാവാക്യം വിളിക്കാനും സിദ്ധിഖ് മുൻപന്തിയിൽ ഉണ്ടാകുമായിരുന്നു . അതെല്ലാം വോട്ടാക്കുവാൻ സിദ്ധിഖിന് സാധിച്ചു എന്ന് വേണം പറയുവാൻ .
കെ.ടി. ജലീലിന്റെ പരാജയവും രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാഠങ്ങളും
ശരിക്കും പറഞ്ഞാൽ ഏറ്റവും അർഹിച്ച തോൽവി അൽപ്പനായ കെ ടി ജലീലിന്റേതാണ് . ഇതുപോലെയുള്ള രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാരാണ് കേരളരാഷ്ട്രീയത്തെ കുറെയൊക്കെ മലീമസമാക്കിയിരുന്നത് . കുറ്റിപ്പുറം അങ്ങാടിയിൽ നിന്നും നൂറു രൂപക്ക് മത്തി വാങ്ങി ടൗണിലൂടെ മീൻപൊതി ജനങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നതിനായി ഒന്ന് രണ്ടു റൌണ്ട് അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും നടന്ന് വീട്ടിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന വഴിയേ റെയിൽവേ ബ്രിഡ്ജിനു താഴേക്ക് എറിഞ്ഞു കളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന ഒരു രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാരനാണ് കെ ടി ജലീൽ . തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് അടുക്കുമ്പോൾ റോഡ്വക്കിൽ ന്യൂസ് പേപ്പർ വിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിസ്കരിക്കുന്ന പോലുള്ള തട്ടിപ്പുകളുടെ സംസ്ഥാന നേതാവ് ഇന്നിപ്പോൾ തന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ തോൽവി ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു . മുസ്ലിം നേതാക്കളെ കൂട്ടുപിടിച്ചും മുസ്ലിം വോട്ടുകൾ സമാഹരിച്ചും ജയിച്ചുപോന്നിരുന്ന ജലീൽ ഒരു ക്രിസ്ത്യാനിയായ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയെ മുസ്ലിംങ്ങൾ സഹായിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഞെട്ടിത്തരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു . ഇനി വീട്ടിലിരുന്ന് ഫേസ്ബുക്കിൽ കുത്തിത്തിരുപ്പുകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ സമയം കണ്ടെത്താം .

പത്തനാപുരം: ഗണേഷ് കുമാറിന് ജനങ്ങൾ നൽകിയ മറുപടി

കേവലം 38 വോട്ടിന്റെ ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തെ 32438 ആക്കി മാറ്റിയ പെരിന്തൽമണ്ണയിലെ നജീബ് കാന്തപുരം പിണറായി വിജയൻറെ ബോഡി ഷെയിമിങ്ങിനു വിധേയമായിട്ടുണ്ട് . എപ്പോൾ വിളിച്ചാലും ആര് വിളിച്ചാലും ഫോണെടുക്കുന്ന നജീബ് ജനകീയ മാതൃകയാണ് . തൃക്കരിപ്പൂരിലെ സന്ദീപ് വാര്യറും കോങ്ങാട്ടെ തുളസിയും അഭിനന്ദനമർഹിക്കുന്നു . അതുപോലെ ജയിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിലും പോരാട്ട വീര്യം നിലനിർത്തിയ ധർമ്മടത്തെ അബ്ദുൽ റഷീദിനും കൂത്തുപറമ്പിലെ ജയന്തി രാജനും പുതുക്കാട്ടെ ബാബുരാജനും മട്ടന്നൂരിലെ ചന്ദ്രൻ തില്ലങ്കേരിയും അഭിനന്ദനം അർഹിക്കുന്നു .കോൺഗ്രസ്സ് പാർട്ടിയും യുഡിഎഫും ഒന്നുകൂടി ഈ വക മണ്ഡലങ്ങളിൽ സധൈര്യം ആത്മവിശ്വാസത്തോടെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ എളുപ്പത്തിൽ കടന്നുപോരാമായിരുന്നു .

കേരളം കണ്ടതിൽ വെച്ചേറ്റവും നല്ല ജനവിധിയാണ് നാം കണ്ടത് . ജയിക്കേണ്ടവർ ജയിച്ചു തോൽക്കേണ്ടവർ തോറ്റു . ഇനിയുള്ളത് കേരളം കാത്തിരുന്ന ഒരു നല്ല മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയെയാണ് . അതിന്നർഹൻ വിഡി സതീശനാണ് എന്നാണ് കേരളജനത ഒന്നടങ്കം പറയുന്നത് . മറിച്ചാണ് സംഭവിക്കുന്നത് എങ്കിൽ കേരളം കണ്ടതിൽ വെച്ചേറ്റവും വലിയ ബഹുജന പ്രക്ഷോഭത്തിന് എ ഐ സി സി സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ടി വരുമെന്നാണ് കേരളത്തിലുടനീളം ജനങ്ങൾ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നത് .

As we have discussed several times, although the UDF achieved a brilliant victory with 102 seats, reaching 112 would have been easy if candidate selection had been even better. The most significant feature of this election is that those who deserved to win won, and those who deserved to lose lost. This election reflected a message: the Malayali people cannot be fooled forever. The public was ready to vote, but they cast their ballots by looking strictly at the candidate. This is a clear vision that all political leaders must abandon the delusion that anyone presented under a party symbol will win.
The Legend of Payyannur: V. Kunhikrishnan’s Epic Battle
The best victory in this election belongs to 'Pazhassi Raja' V. Kunhikrishnan in Payyannur. Beyond standard clichés like "shining victory" or "shocking victory," we need to find a new word for Kunhikrishnan. When a man fought a lone battle in a party village like Payyannur without any manpower to back him, approaching people with sheer humility, the public welcomed him with open arms—a strong warning to the political leaders of Kerala. Since the day he raised the martyr fund issue, CPM goons had surrounded and attacked that poor man. The public remembered the burning of his companion's bike and the constant threats. Now, when Kunhikrishnan MLA enters there in his vehicle, those who embezzled and licked the funds will be sitting in the party office, sipping black tea and eating lentil fritters, plotting future mischiefs.

Similarly, the most "beautiful" defeat in this election is that of T.N. Prathapan in Manalur. In Manalur, we witnessed the extreme downfall of a leader whose only hallmark was a mask. Even when a UDF wave swept across Kerala, having to lose to an ordinary person in a UDF stronghold like Manalur is God’s punishment for the games played by someone like Prathapan, who supposedly "knew how to win." When Prathapan packed his bags after losing by just 126 votes, another Prathapan (son of Ayyappan) secured 184 votes, leading to the same "namesake candidate" tragedy that befell his political mentor Sudheeran in Alappuzha. Had Prathapan won, he would have been a member of the cabinet. Furthermore, his group-politics nuisance would have severely harmed the party. Regardless, the people made a good decision. And thanks to the namesake candidate as well.
The Hardworking Victor: T. Siddique’s Surge in Kalpetta
The next most brilliant win is T. Siddique’s in Kalpetta. When he won with 45,031 votes, up from his previous margin of 5,470, at least 25,000 of those votes were provided by CPM supporters themselves. The public had already decided to make him win the moment he was hooted at during a public event upon the call of the CPM Secretary. Siddique is truly not just a politician but a hard worker. During the floods, he was a constant presence from day one, working tirelessly. He reached out to the people as a helping hand for those who lost their homes and businesses. Even during Lok Sabha elections, Siddique would be at the forefront shouting slogans among the cadres. One must say he successfully converted all that into votes.
A Deserved Downfall: The Exit of K.T. Jaleel
To be honest, the most deserved defeat is that of the petty K.T. Jaleel. It is politicians like these who have polluted Kerala politics to an extent. K.T. Jaleel is a politician who would buy sardines for a hundred rupees from Kuttipuram market, walk around the town a couple of times so people could see the fish packet, and then throw it under the railway bridge on his way home. The state leader of gimmicks—like spreading a newspaper on the roadside to pray when elections approach—has now faced the biggest defeat of his life. Jaleel, who used to win by leaning on Muslim leaders and consolidating Muslim votes, is stunned now that Muslims have supported a Christian candidate. Now he can find time to sit at home and create mischief on Facebook.
The Ghost of Antoor: T.K. Govindan’s Triumph in Taliparamba
Another massive victory is T.K. Govindan’s in Taliparamba. When he crushed Shyamala, the party secretary’s wife, by 12,551 votes (plus 735 for his namesake T.K. Govindan), the soul of the late Sajan from Anthoor would have been the happiest. The very reason for the collapse of the CPM in Kannur district was the candidacy of Shyamala in Taliparamba. Forcing G. Sudhakaran to contest in Alappuzha out of spite was also the party secretary’s lack of wisdom. G. Sudhakaran’s victory in Alappuzha with 27,935 votes is a reply to 'Govindan Master' and Pinarayi’s pettiness. It is better for Pinarayi Vijayan not to enter an Assembly where Sudhakaran, Kunhikrishnan, Govindan, and Rema are present. At this moment, Pinarayi himself might be thinking it would have been better if Rasheed had won; in truth, Rasheed has already won in Dharmadam.
Rejected by the People: Sobha, Shivakumar, Veena, and Ganesh
Among the defeats, the most celebrated ones are those of Sobha Surendran in Palakkad, Shivakumar in Aruvikkara, Veena George in Aranmula, and Ganesh in Pathanapuram. Not only did Sobha Surendran lose Palakkad, but she also caused a 5% drop in the party's votes. Although the BJP leadership provided the money, Sobha should not have publicly assaulted the boy who took the video. Many BJP sympathizers who were undecided changed their minds due to Sobha Surendran’s actions. She wouldn't have dreamt in her wildest nightmares that the public would shatter her hopes so completely.
Similarly, V.S. Shivakumar—blessed by Sukumaran Nair and KC—who used to threaten the leadership saying he would do this or that if he didn't get a seat, losing in a safe constituency like Aruvikkara might help the party's smooth functioning. If someone like Sabarinadhan, Vaishna Suresh, or Veena Nair had contested instead of V.S. Shivakumar (who was certain of becoming a minister if he won), that seat would have been won. Shivakumar should have contested in Nemom. Another disastrous decision by K.C. Venugopal.
Ganesh Kumar of Pathanapuram should have lost long ago. The role of the locals in making the already problematic Ganesh even more spoiled was not insignificant. When he himself announces that the 'Jinn' or 'Devil' that possessed him tried to neutralize itself by entering the bodies of various women and that it has now crossed five thousand, he wouldn't have thought the public would hit back like this. Ganesh was the cause of the wound in the heart of the late, noble Oommen Chandy.
It was certain that Veena George, who brought the "ship and captain" to Kerala, would lose and be pushed to third place. When protests regarding the 'scissors controversy' began against Veena, we saw her coming out on the road and issuing challenges after workers waved black flags at her house on the first day. Following the black flag controversy at Kannur Railway Station involving Veena, the ICU, and the neck sprain, the people had made up their minds. Later, when she held a public debate with Abin Varkey, it helped Abin’s lead reach eighteen thousand. Anyway, that arrogance has been extinguished.
The Rashid Who Rattled Pinarayi
Najeeb Kanthapuram of Perinthalmanna, who transformed a meager 38-vote majority into a staggering 32,438, has previously been a victim of Pinarayi Vijayan's body-shaming. Najeeb, who picks up the phone whenever and whoever calls, is a true model of a people's representative. Sandeep Varier in Trikaripur and Thulasi in Kongad also deserve high praise.
Similarly, even though they couldn't secure a win, Abdul Rashid in Dharmadam, Jayanthi Rajan in Kuthuparamba, Baburajan in Puthukkad, and Chandran Thillankeri in Mattannur deserve appreciation for maintaining their fighting spirit. Had the Congress party and the UDF worked with a bit more courage and self-confidence in these particular constituencies, they could have easily crossed the finish line.
A New Dawn: The Call for V.D. Satheesan
We have witnessed the best public mandate Kerala has ever seen. Those who deserved to win won; those who deserved to lose lost. What remains is the long-awaited 'good Chief Minister' for Kerala. The people of Kerala unanimously say that V.D. Satheesan is the one worthy of it. If anything else happens, the people across Kerala are calling for the AICC to witness the largest mass protest Kerala has ever seen.
