വിപ്ലവത്തിന്റെ അപചയവും വ്യവസായങ്ങളുടെ തകർച്ചയും
ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള തൊഴിലാളികൾ തങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശങ്ങൾക്കായി പോരാടിയതിന്റെ ഓർമ്മ പുതുക്കുന്ന ദിനമാണ് മേയ് ഒന്ന്. എന്നാൽ കേരളത്തിൽ, തൊഴിലാളി വർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ കാവൽക്കാരാകേണ്ടവർ തന്നെ അവരുടെ അന്തകരായി മാറുന്ന വൈരുദ്ധ്യമാണ് ഇന്ന് നാം കാണുന്നത്. തൊഴിലാളികളെയും തൊഴിൽ മേഖലയെയും സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിന് പകരം, അനാവശ്യമായ സമരങ്ങളിലൂടെയും രാഷ്ട്രീയ അധിനിവേശത്തിലൂടെയും സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ പ്രധാന വ്യവസായങ്ങളെല്ലാം സി.പി.എം ഇല്ലാതാക്കി. വിപ്ലവം പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നവർ ഇന്ന് അധികാരത്തിന്റെ ശീതളഛായയിൽ വൻകിട മുതലാളിമാരായി വാഴുമ്പോൾ സാധാരണ തൊഴിലാളി ഇപ്പോഴും പട്ടിണിയിലാണ്.
51 വയസ്സിൽ 51 വെട്ടുകൾ: ടി.പി.യുടെ രക്തസാക്ഷിത്വം
ഈ മേയ് മാസം കേരളത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയം നുറുങ്ങുന്ന മറ്റൊരു ഓർമ്മ കൂടി പങ്കുവെക്കുന്നു. മെയ് 4-ാം തീയതി, ആദർശധീരനായ വിപ്ലവകാരി സഖാവ് ടി.പി. ചന്ദ്രശേഖരൻ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടിട്ട് 14 വർഷം തികയുകയാണ് . തന്റെ 51-ാം വയസ്സിൽ, 51 വെട്ടുകളേറ്റ് ആ വിപ്ലവകാരി വീണപ്പോൾ തകർന്നത് കേരളത്തിന്റെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ധാർമ്മികതയായിരുന്നു. "മാഷാ അള്ളാ" എന്ന സ്റ്റിക്കർ പതിപ്പിച്ച ഇന്നോവ കാറിൽ വന്നെത്തിയ കൊലയാളികൾ ആ മുഖം വെട്ടി വികൃതമാക്കിയത് പാർട്ടിയിലെ വിയോജിപ്പുകളോടുള്ള അസഹിഷ്ണുത കാരണമായിരുന്നു. വിപ്ലവം എന്നാൽ കൊലപാതകമല്ലെന്ന് ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ചെയ്ത ഏക തെറ്റ്.
മധുര കോട്ട്സിനെ കൊന്ന തൊഴിലാളി വിരുദ്ധത
മറ്റൊരു മെയ് മാസം , കേരളത്തിന്റെ അഭിമാനമായിരുന്ന കൊരട്ടിയിലെ മധുര കോട്ട്സ് എന്ന ലോകോത്തര സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ തകർച്ച ഇതിന് ഉദാഹരണമാണ്. ലോകത്തിലെ തന്നെ ഒന്നാം നമ്പർ സ്പൺ പോളിസ്റ്റർ ത്രെഡ് നിർമ്മാണ യൂണിറ്റായിരുന്നു അത്. എന്നാൽ അവിടുത്തെ യൂണിയൻ പ്രവർത്തകർ, നൂലുകൾ പാക്കിംഗിനായി കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ അവ അറുത്തുമാറ്റി ഉൽപ്പാദനം മനഃപൂർവ്വം തടസ്സപ്പെടുത്തി. ഇത്തരം വിനാശകരമായ സമരമുറകൾ ഒടുവിൽ ആ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ പൂട്ടു വീഴിച്ചു. തൊഴിലാളികൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ് നടത്തിയ സമരങ്ങൾ ഒടുവിൽ ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് തൊഴിലാളികളെ തെരുവിലാക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തത്.
പൂട്ടിവീണ വ്യവസായ ശാലകളും കോടീശ്വരന്മാരായ നേതാക്കളും
മധുര കോട്ട്സിന് പിന്നാലെ പ്രീമിയർ കേബിൾസ്, തോഷിബ ആനന്ദ് തുടങ്ങിയ വൻകിട കമ്പനികളും കേരളത്തിൽ പൂട്ടിക്കെട്ടി. അനാവശ്യമായ യൂണിയൻ ഇടപെടലുകൾ കാരണം വ്യവസായങ്ങൾ പൂട്ടിയപ്പോൾ, ഈ സമരങ്ങൾ നയിച്ച നേതാക്കൾ മാത്രം ക്രമാതീതമായി വളർന്നു. പാവപ്പെട്ട പാർട്ടി അണികൾ ഇപ്പോഴും കഷ്ടപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ, നേതാക്കളും അവരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളും കോടീശ്വരന്മാരായി മാറി. തൊഴിലാളി പാർട്ടിയെന്ന് അവകാശപ്പെടുന്ന സി.പി.എം ഇന്ന് വെറും കോർപ്പറേറ്റ് മുതലാളിമാരുടെ കൂട്ടമായി പരിണമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ ശക്തമായ തൊഴിൽ സേനയെ ഇവർ പൂർണ്ണമായും നശിപ്പിച്ചു.
മേയ് 4: ടി.പി.യുടെ ഓർമ്മദിനത്തിലെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ അന്ത്യം
വിധി വൈപരീത്യമെന്നോണം, ടി.പി. ചന്ദ്രശേഖരന്റെ ഓർമ്മ ദിനമായ ഇതേ മേയ് 4-നാണ് കേരള നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിന്റെ ഫലം പുറത്തുവരുന്നത്. ടി.പി.യുടെ രക്തസാക്ഷിത്വ ദിനത്തിൽ തന്നെ കേരളത്തിലെ കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് ഭരണകൂടത്തിന്റെ അന്ത്യം കുറിക്കപ്പെടുകയാണ്. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയും 13 മന്ത്രിമാരും ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള വലിയൊരു നിര തന്നെ ഈ ജനവിധിയിൽ തകർന്നു വീഴാൻ പോകുന്നു. അധികാരത്തിന്റെ ഹുങ്കിൽ തൊഴിലാളികളെ മറന്നവർക്കും, ആദർശവാന്മാരെ വെട്ടിനുറുക്കിയവർക്കും കേരളത്തിലെ ജനങ്ങൾ നൽകുന്ന കനത്ത പ്രഹരമായിരിക്കും ഈ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ഫലം. സി.പി.എം എന്ന പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ അന്ത്യത്തിന് ഈ മേയ് 4 സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കും.

While leaders who once preached revolution now live as millionaires in the shade of power, the common laborer remains in poverty.
51 Wounds at Age 51: The Martyrdom of TP
This May brings a gut-wrenching memory for Kerala. May 4th marks the 14th anniversary of the brutal assassination of the courageous revolutionary, Comrade TP Chandrasekharan (killed in 2012). At the age of 51, he was hacked 51 times; as he fell, the political morality of Kerala fell with him. The killers, arriving in an "Innova" car with a "Masha Allah" sticker, hacked his face beyond recognition—a brutal testament to the CPM’s intolerance toward dissent. His only crime was declaring that revolution does not mean cold-blooded murder.
How Labor Unions Killed Madura Coats
The downfall of Madura Coats in Koratti, once a world-class pride of Kerala, stands as a prime example of this betrayal. It was the world’s number one manufacturer of spun polyester thread. However, the union workers there resorted to the destructive tactic of cutting the thread as it passed to the rollers for final packing, intentionally paralyzing production. These senseless strikes eventually forced the factory to close its doors forever, pushing thousands of workers into the streets.
Closed Factories and Millionaire Leaders
Following Madura Coats, other industrial giants like Premier Cables and Toshiba Anand were also forced to shut down in Kerala. While these companies perished due to unnecessary union intervention, the leaders who led those strikes grew immensely wealthy. While the poor party cadres still struggle for a daily wage, the top leadership and their families have transformed into millionaires. The CPM, once a party for the workers, has evolved into a corporate entity of capitalists that has destroyed Kerala’s once-strong labor force.
May 4: A Political End on TP’s Anniversary
In a twist of fate, the results of the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections will be declared on May 4, the very anniversary of TP Chandrasekharan’s martyrdom. This day will mark the end of the Communist regime in Kerala. As trends suggest, the Chief Minister and 13 of his ministers are headed for a landslide defeat. This election verdict will be the people's answer to those who murdered idealists and abandoned the working class for greed. May 4 will stand as the day of political reckoning for the CPM.
