വി.പി. അബ്ദുൽ റഷീദ്: ധർമ്മടം പിടിച്ചെടുക്കാൻ യുവപോരാളി
കേരളം ഉറ്റുനോക്കുന്ന 2026-ലെ നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലെ ഏറ്റവും ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ പോരാട്ടങ്ങളിലൊന്ന് ധർമ്മടം മണ്ഡലത്തിലാണ് നടക്കുന്നത്. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയന്റെ ഉരുക്കുകോട്ടയായ ധർമ്മടത്ത് യു.ഡി.എഫ് സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയായി എത്തിയത് കെ.പി.സി.സി അംഗവും യൂത്ത് കോൺഗ്രസ് സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറിയുമായ വി.പി. അബ്ദുൽ റഷീദാണ്. രാഷ്ട്രീയ എതിരാളികളുടെ തട്ടകത്തിൽ ഭയരഹിതനായി പ്രചാരണം നയിക്കുന്ന ഈ യുവനേതാവ്, ധർമ്മടത്തെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ചിത്രം തന്നെ മാറ്റിമറിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്.

കഴിഞ്ഞ നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ സി.പി.എമ്മിന്റെ മറ്റൊരു ശക്തികേന്ദ്രമായ തളിപ്പറമ്പിലാണ് അബ്ദുൽ റഷീദ് മത്സരരംഗത്തുണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. എം.വി. ഗോവിന്ദനെതിരെ നടന്ന ആ പോരാട്ടത്തിൽ റഷീദ് കാഴ്ചവെച്ച പ്രകടനം രാഷ്ട്രീയ കേരളത്തെ അത്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു. സി.പി.എമ്മിന്റെ ഭൂരിപക്ഷം 40,000-ൽ നിന്ന് 22,000 ആയി കുറയ്ക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് സാധിച്ചു. ഈ ആത്മവിശ്വാസവുമായാണ് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ മണ്ഡലത്തിൽ ചരിത്രം തിരുത്തിക്കുറിക്കാൻ റഷീദ് ഇപ്പോൾ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.

റഷീദിന്റെ ജനകീയമായ പ്രചാരണ ശൈലിയും യുവജനങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലുള്ള സ്വാധീനവും ഇടതുപക്ഷ ക്യാമ്പുകളിൽ വലിയ ആശങ്ക സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതിന്റെ ഫലമായി പ്രചാരണത്തിനിടയിൽ റഷീദിന് നേരെ അക്രമസംഭവങ്ങളും റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു. മാർച്ച് 29-ന് അഞ്ചരക്കണ്ടി കൈതപ്രത്ത് വെച്ച് സി.പി.എം പ്രവർത്തകർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വാഹനം തടയുകയും വധഭീഷണി മുഴക്കുകയും ചെയ്തത് വലിയ പ്രതിഷേധത്തിന് കാരണമായിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇത്തരം ഭീഷണികൾ തന്നെ തളർത്തുകയല്ല, മറിച്ച് തന്റെ പോരാട്ടവീര്യം വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം തെളിയിക്കുന്നു.
മലബാറിലെ യുവത്വത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീക്ഷ
മലബാർ മേഖലയിലെയും പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് കണ്ണൂരിലെയും സാധാരണക്കാരായ യുവാക്കൾ റഷീദിന്റെ വിജയത്തിനായി വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെയാണ് കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. രാഷ്ട്രീയ അക്രമങ്ങൾക്കും ഭരണവിരുദ്ധ വികാരത്തിനും എതിരെ ധർമ്മടം പോലൊരു 'ചുവപ്പ് കോട്ട'യിൽ ഒരു യുവാവ് നടത്തുന്ന ഈ വിപ്ലവാത്മകമായ പോരാട്ടം കേരള രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിൽ പുതിയൊരു മാറ്റത്തിന്റെ തുടക്കമാകുമെന്നാണ് രാഷ്ട്രീയ നിരീക്ഷകർ കരുതുന്നത്. ധർമ്മടത്തെ ജനമനസ്സുകളിൽ റഷീദ് ഇടംനേടിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നതിന്റെ തെളിവാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ലഭിക്കുന്ന വമ്പിച്ച സ്വീകാര്യത.
