ചായക്കടയിലെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ വിചാരം :
തല്ല് കൊള്ളാൻ ചെണ്ടയും കാശ് വാങ്ങാൻ മാരാരും
സ്ഥലം: ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരിയിലെ ഒരു നാടൻ ചായക്കട. കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ: കന്നാസ് (പഴയകാലം മുതൽ പാർട്ടിക്കായി കൊടിപിടിച്ചവൻ), കടലാസ് (രാഷ്ട്രീയം ചികഞ്ഞു പഠിക്കുന്നവൻ).
കടലാസ്: (പത്രം മടക്കിവെച്ച് ചായ ഊതിക്കുടിക്കുന്നു) "എന്താ കന്നാസേ ഈ കേൾക്കുന്നത്? ഡൽഹിയിൽ ഇരുന്ന് കെ.സി ചരടുവലിക്കുന്നു, ഇവിടെ രമേശൻ ചീറിപ്പായുന്നു, സതീശനാണെങ്കിൽ പെട്ടുപോയ അവസ്ഥയിലും. നമ്മുടെ പാർട്ടിയുടെ പോക്ക് എങ്ങോട്ടാണാവോ?"
കന്നാസ്: (നെടുവീർപ്പോടെ) "എന്ത് പറയാനാ കടലാസേ... നമ്മളൊക്കെ പഴയ ആൾക്കാരാ. കരുണാകരനും ആന്റണിയും തമ്മിൽ അന്ന് അടിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു, പക്ഷെ അതൊക്കെ അന്തസ്സുള്ള അങ്കമായിരുന്നു. ഇന്ന് അതല്ലല്ലോ സ്ഥിതി. സതീശൻ പാവം, പത്തു കൊല്ലം വെയിലു കൊണ്ട് ഉണങ്ങിയ പാർട്ടിയെ ഒന്ന് ഉഷാറാക്കി കൊണ്ടുവന്നതാ. ഇപ്പോഴാ 'കുളാണ്ടർമാർ' കസേര ലക്ഷ്യം വെച്ച് ഇറങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നത്." . ഒരൊറ്റ മലയാളിയും അവന്മാരെ സപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല എന്നതാണ് അവരെ ഇപ്പോൾ ചൊടിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് . അവർക്ക് വേണ്ടി വാദിക്കുന്നത് കോമ്പ്രമൈസ് ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്ന ചിലരൊക്കെ മാത്രം .
കടലാസ്: "അതല്ലേ തമാശ! സതീശന് ഭരണപരിചയം ഇല്ലത്രേ. എന്നിട്ടല്ലേ തെലങ്കാനയിൽ രേവന്ത് റെഡ്ഢി ഭരിക്കുന്നത്? വെറും രണ്ട് കൊല്ലം എം.പി ആയിരുന്ന പുള്ളി അവിടെ പുലിയായി ഭരിക്കുന്നു.അപ്പൊ പിന്നെ രാഹുൽഗാന്ധി എങ്ങനെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയാകും ? നമ്മുടെ സതീശൻ 25 കൊല്ലം എം.എൽ.എ ആയി എല്ലാ ഭരണവും വിരൽത്തുമ്പിൽ വെച്ച് പഠിച്ച ആളാ. അവരെക്കൊണ്ട് ഇതൊക്കെ പറയിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് ചെന്നിത്തലയല്ലേ? 2011-ൽ സതീശനെ ഒതുക്കിയതും ഇതേ ചെന്നിത്തല തന്നെയാ. തനിക്ക് മേലെ വേറൊരു നായർ പറക്കരുത് എന്നാ പുള്ളിയുടെ ശാഠ്യം."
കന്നാസ്: "അതെ, അന്ന് ആ ലോട്ടറി വിവാദത്തിൽ സതീശൻ പടപൊരുതിയത് കൊണ്ടാ യു.ഡി.എഫ് അധികാരത്തിൽ വന്നത്. എന്നിട്ട് ചെന്നിത്തല പുള്ളിക്ക് ഒരു സ്പോർട്സ് വകുപ്പ് പോലും കൊടുത്തില്ല. പാര പണിഞ്ഞവർക്ക് കാലം മറുപടി കൊടുക്കും എന്നാ പറയുക. ഇപ്പോ കണ്ടില്ലേ, ചെന്നിത്തല മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്തായിപ്പോയി. എന്നിട്ടും പുള്ളി 'കേരളയാത്ര' എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു ഇറങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കയ്യിൽ കിട്ടിയ സുവർണ്ണാവസരം കളഞ്ഞ ഒരാളാ ഇപ്പോ പൊട്ടിക്കരയുന്നത്."
കടലാസ്: "ഇതിനേക്കാൾ കഷ്ടം കെ.സിയുടെ കാര്യമാ കന്നാസേ. പുള്ളി ഹൈക്കമാൻഡ് ആണെന്നാ ചിലരുടെ വിചാരം. കഴിഞ്ഞ ലോക്സഭയിൽ ആലപ്പുഴയിൽ മത്സരിച്ച് ഒരു രാജ്യസഭാ സീറ്റ് ബി.ജെ.പിക്ക് വെറുതെ ദാനം ചെയ്തു. ഇപ്പോ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി കസേര സ്വപ്നം കണ്ട് നടക്കുകയാ. സത്യത്തിൽ പുള്ളിക്ക് എ.ഐ.സി.സിയിൽ ഇരുന്ന് 'സൂപ്പർ സി.എം' ആയി ഇരിക്കുന്നതല്ലേ അതിന്റെ അന്തസ്സ്? സോണിയാഗാന്ധി മാറി നിന്നത് കൊണ്ടല്ലേ അന്ന് സൂപ്പർ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയായത് . ആ ബുദ്ധി പോലും കേസിക്കില്ല."
കന്നാസ്: "പിന്നല്ലാതെ! തൃശൂരിലൊക്കെ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥികളെ നിശ്ചയിക്കാൻ പണം വാങ്ങിയെന്ന് അണികൾക്കിടയിൽ സംസാരമുണ്ട്. എ.ഐ.സി.സി അയച്ച പണം സ്വന്തം കയ്യിൽ നിന്നെടുത്തു കൊടുത്തു എന്ന് വരുത്തി തീർത്ത് പുള്ളി കുറച്ച് യുവ എം.എൽ.എമാരെ കൊണ്ട് സ്തുതി പാടിക്കുന്നു. സതീശൻ അന്ന് രാഹുലിനോട് വാശി പിടിച്ചത് കൊണ്ട് മാത്രമാണ് പല പാഴ് വസ്തുക്കളും പട്ടികയിൽ നിന്ന് പുറത്തായത്."
കടലാസ്: "സത്യം. നമ്മളൊന്നും കൂലിയെഴുത്തുകാരല്ല. പണം വാങ്ങിയല്ല ഇതൊക്കെ പറയുന്നത്. നമ്മൾ ഒറിജിനൽ ഐഡിയിൽ വോട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്ന നെഞ്ചിൽ കൈവെച്ച് പാർട്ടി എന്ന് പറയുന്നവരാ. തെലങ്കാനയിൽ പണിയെടുത്തവന് കൂലി കിട്ടിയത് പോലെ ഇവിടെ സതീശന് കിട്ടണം. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ പിന്നെ കോൺഗ്രസ് എന്നൊരു പാർട്ടി കേരളത്തിൽ ബാക്കിയുണ്ടാവില്ല."
കന്നാസ്: "ശരിയാ കടലാസേ... രാഹുൽ ഗാന്ധിക്ക് വിവരമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഈ ചതുരംഗക്കളികൾ അദ്ദേഹം കാണുന്നുണ്ടാകും. അധികാരം മോഹിച്ചു പാർട്ടിയെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരോട് കാലം കണക്കുചോദിക്കും."
കടലാസ്: "അഥവാ ഹൈക്കമാൻഡിനെ എങ്ങനെയെങ്കിലും സ്വാധീനിച്ച് അങ്ങേരെങ്ങാനും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായാൽ അഞ്ചുകൊല്ലം നമ്മൾ സഹിക്കേണ്ടി വരില്ലേ കന്നാസേ?"
കന്നാസ്: "അതങ്ങ് പള്ളീ പോയി പറഞ്ഞാൽ മതി കടലാസേ! പഴയ കാലമൊക്കെ മാറി. നന്നായി അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ച് വോട്ട് ചെയ്ത് ജയിപ്പിച്ചവർ പിന്നെ റോട്ടിലിറങ്ങും. പണ്ട് അച്ചുമ്മാന് വേണ്ടി പോളിറ്റ് ബ്യൂറോ വരെ പത്തി മടക്കിയ നാടാണ് ഈ കേരളം എന്നോർത്താൽ മതി."
കടലാസ്: "പക്ഷെ, സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയ അണികളെ ഫേക്ക് ഐഡി ക്കാർ എന്നൊക്കെ കുറ്റം പറഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ ചിലർ?"
കന്നാസ്: (പുച്ഛത്തോടെ) "ലോകം മുഴുവൻ നീങ്ങുന്നത് സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയയിലൂടെയല്ലേ? ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഈ യുദ്ധം മൊത്തം സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയ യുദ്ധമല്ലേ? ആ പറയുന്നവൻമാർക്കൊക്കെ നല്ലൊരു തുക പണമായി കയ്യിൽ കിട്ടിയതിന്റെ കൂലിയെഴുതല്ലേ കടലാസേ ഈ കാണിക്കുന്നത്. പണം കൊടുത്താൽ ആർക്കൊപ്പം വേണേലും കിടന്നു കൊടുക്കും അത്തരക്കാർ."
കടലാസ്: "എനിക്ക് തോന്നുന്നത് ഈ ഒരു മാസം ഇങ്ങനെയൊക്കെ കിട്ടിയത് നന്നായീന്നാ. ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഈ പുകിലുകളെല്ലാം കണ്ടും കേട്ടും എല്ലാം ശുഭപര്യവസാനമായി മാറും ചിലപ്പോൾ."
കന്നാസ്: "ശരിയാ. തലയിൽ ലേശം വെളിച്ചം വീശുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അവർ എല്ലാം ഭംഗിയാക്കി കേരളത്തെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തേക്കാം. പണിയെടുക്കുന്നവനെ മാറ്റിനിർത്തി പണക്കാരനെ വാഴിച്ചാൽ പിന്നെ പൂരപ്പറമ്പിൽ ചെണ്ടയുടെ അവസ്ഥയാകും പാർട്ടിയുടേത്."
കടലാസ്: "ഈ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചവർ സതീശനും ഷാഫി പറമ്പിലുമാണ് എന്നത് ജനത്തിനറിയാം . പോകാം കന്നാസേ , ഇങ്ങനയൊക്കെ പറയേണ്ടി വന്നതിൽ സങ്കടമുണ്ട്, പക്ഷെ പറയാതിരിക്കാൻ വയ്യ. പാർട്ടിയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവന്റെ രോദനമാണത്."
കന്നാസും കടലാസും:
Tea Shop Politics: The Drum for the Beatings, the Drummer for the Cash
Location: A local tea shop in Changanassery. Characters: Kannaas (A veteran who has carried the party flag since the old days), Kadalaas (An observer who digs deep into politics).
Kadalaas: (Folding the newspaper and sipping hot tea) "What is this I’m hearing, Kannaas? K.C. is pulling strings from Delhi, Ramesh is racing across the state, and Satheesan seems to be caught in a fix. Where exactly is our party headed?"
Kannaas: (With a deep sigh) "What can I say, Kadalaas... we are the old-timers. There were fights between Karunakaran and Antony back then, but those were battles of dignity. This is different. Poor Satheesan spent ten years in the sun reviving a dried-up party. And now, these 'opportunists' have emerged, eyeing the throne. What irritates them now is that not a single Malayali is supporting them. Only those aiming for a 'compromise' are arguing for them."
Kadalaas: "That’s the irony! They say Satheesan has no administrative experience. Then how is Revanth Reddy ruling Telangana? A man who was an MP for just two years is ruling like a lion there. If experience is the only criteria, then how will Rahul Gandhi ever become Prime Minister? Our Satheesan has been an MLA for 25 years and knows every nook and cranny of governance. Isn't it Chennithala who is making people say these things? It was the same Chennithala who sidelined Satheesan in 2011. His only stubbornness is that no other 'Nair' should fly above him."
Kannaas: "Exactly! It was because Satheesan fought the lottery controversy that the UDF came to power back then. Yet, Chennithala didn't even give him a Sports portfolio. They say time will answer those who set traps. Look at Chennithala now—he’s ended up in third place. Still, he’s out there doing a 'Kerala Yatra.' A man who threw away a golden opportunity is now crying over split milk."
Kadalaas: "K.C.'s case is even worse, Kannaas. Some people think he is the High Command. He contested in Alappuzha in the last Lok Sabha elections and practically gifted a Rajya Sabha seat to the BJP. Now he’s dreaming of the CM’s chair. Honestly, wouldn't it be more dignified for him to stay in the AICC and remain a 'Super CM'? Sonia Gandhi became a 'Super Prime Minister' because she stepped aside. K.C. doesn't even have that much sense."
Kannaas: "You said it! There’s talk among the cadres that money was taken to fix candidates in places like Thrissur. He’s making young MLAs sing his praises by making it look like the AICC funds were his personal contribution. It was only because Satheesan stood his ground with Rahul Gandhi that many 'useless' candidates were kept off the list."
Kadalaas: "True. We aren't paid writers. We aren't saying this for money. We are people who vote with our original IDs and hold the party close to our hearts. Just like the one who worked in Telangana got his due, Satheesan should get his here. Otherwise, there won't be a Congress party left in Kerala."
Kannaas: "Right, Kadalaas... If Rahul Gandhi has any sense, he must be watching these chess games. Time will settle the score with those who destroy the party out of power-hunger."
Kadalaas: "But Kannaas, what if he somehow influences the High Command and becomes the CM? Won't we have to suffer for five years?"
Kannaas: "Tell that to the birds, Kadalaas! The old days are gone. Those who worked hard and voted to win will take to the streets. Remember, this is Kerala—a land where even the Politburo had to bow down for 'Achumman' (V.S. Achuthanandan) because of the people's will."
Kadalaas: "But aren't some people accusing the social media cadres of being 'fake IDs'?"
Kannaas: (With contempt) "Isn't the whole world moving through social media now? Isn't this entire battle a social media war? Those making such claims are just doing 'paid writing' for the cash they've pocketed. For money, such people will side with anyone."
Kadalaas: "I feel like it was good that all this came out this month. After seeing and hearing all this chaos, maybe everything will end on a positive note."
Kannaas: "True. If there's a flicker of light in their heads, they might fix everything and reclaim Kerala. If you sideline the worker and enthrone the rich man, the party will end up like a drum at a festival—hit by everyone."
Kadalaas: "The public knows that Satheesan and Shafi Parambil are the ones who actually worked in this election. Let's go, Kannaas. It’s sad to have to say these things, but we can't stay silent. This is the cry of those who truly love the party."
